Go Forth Athletes Shine at IBJJF Chicago Summer Open 2025
This past weekend, some of our Go Forth sponsored athletes hit the mats at the IBJJF Chicago Summer Open 2025, and they showed the city why our team continues to be a force in the grappling world.
Alexandria Faith Howard – Gold in Purple Belt Middleweight
Faith, representing TAC Team BJJ and a proud member of the Go Forth team, captured first place in the Female Adult Purple Belt Middleweight division. Faith continues to prove that she’s one of the top rising competitors in the country, and we’re proud to support her on her journey to the top.
Jeffrey J Larsen – Blue Belt Silver
Go Forth athlete Jeffrey Larsen also stepped onto the podium, taking silver. Representing Pedigo, Jeff’s matches were all action. He continues to showcase grit, technique, and heart every time he competes. A silver medal at an IBJJF event is no small feat, and Jeff’s growth as both an athlete and a leader has been incredible to watch.
Gianfranco Yucra – Black Belt Silver in Master 1 Middleweight
Last but not least, Franco Yucra added another medal to his resume with a silver in the Master 1 Black Belt Middleweight division. Competing under the Pedigo banner and repping Go Forth, Gianfranco’s skill and veteran experience were on full display throughout the bracket. Every match was high-level and hard-fought, and his silver finish is another testament to his consistency at the highest levels.
