Go Forth Athletes Shine at 2024 IBJJF No Gi Pans

Posted by Aaron Lynde on

The 2024 IBJJF No Gi Pans delivered unforgettable moments as the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu community gathered to showcase its best. Go Forth proudly supported five outstanding athletes: Pedro Avila, Jeffery Larsen, Gianfranco Yucra, Blake Brown, and Joey Alexander. Each of them brought their unique strengths and determination to the mats, embodying the Go Forth ethos.

Gianfranco Yucra: Gold and a Black Belt Promotion

The highlight of the weekend came from Gianfranco Yucra, who not only secured gold in his division but also achieved a career milestone: a promotion to black belt on the podium. His dominant performance throughout the competition was a testament to his skill and dedication. Gianfranco’s promotion was a proud moment for the entire Go Forth team, symbolizing his journey and achievements in the sport.

Pedro Avila Claims Silver in Adult Featherweight

Pedro Avila delivered a stellar performance in the fiercely competitive adult featherweight division, earning a well-deserved silver medal. His journey through the bracket was marked by technical precision and an unrelenting drive to succeed. Pedro continues to inspire with his dedication and skill, and we’re excited to support him in his future endeavors.

Blake Brown Takes Silver in Adult Purple Belt Super Heavy

Blake Brown added to the team’s success by claiming silver in the adult purple belt super heavy division. His performance showcased his strength and versatility on the mats, securing his place as one of the top competitors in his division. Blake’s hard work and commitment to improving his game were evident in every match, and we couldn’t be prouder.

Jeffery Larsen: Competing with Heart

Jeffery Larsen showed great determination and resilience, finishing with a record of 1-1. While the podium eluded him this time, Jeffery’s growth and dedication were on full display. Every competition offers valuable lessons, and Jeffery continues to embody the Go Forth spirit by stepping up and giving his all.

Joey Alexander: A Strong Effort in a Tough Division

Joey Alexander gave his best effort in a challenging division, representing Go Forth with heart and determination. While he didn’t medal, Joey’s courage and willingness to compete at such a high level were inspiring. His performance serves as a reminder that the journey in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is as much about growth and perseverance as it is about medals.

At Go Forth, we’re committed to supporting athletes who exemplify our values: hard work, perseverance, and a relentless pursuit of excellence. Pedro, Gianfranco, Blake, Jeffery, and Joey each brought something unique to the mats, and we’re honored to sponsor their journeys. Their dedication and achievements inspire us and the broader BJJ community.
